New York, NY – [06/17/2026] – Zeal disclosed today that its Contract Intelligence platform supported the analysis used to identify the musical compositions referenced in BMG’s copyright complaint against Anthropic, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
The complaint alleges that Anthropic used nearly 500 copyrighted musical compositions managed by BMG, including works by Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars and The Rolling Stones, to train its Claude AI models without authorization.

Zeal’s platform supported the identification and organization of the songs referenced in the complaint, assisting in the analysis underlying BMG’s copyright claims. The platform’s role was to help structure and analyze the information supporting the complaint. Legal conclusions and claims remain those set forth by BMG and its counsel.
